Leah
is a 2 year old Red Border Collie. When Leah was about 6 months old I
realized she tired too easily and didn’t recover as quickly as
expected after exercise. A visit to the vet resulted in her being
diagnosed with a heart defect. There is no medication for her condition.
The vet x-rayed her and gave her an ultrasound which seems to show a
thickness in her chest. So we didn’t get a clear result. The latest
diagnosis is ‘probably a leaking valve’. A
friend recommended natural therapies and took us to see She
also suggested dietary changes and a number
of supplements which
we followed through with. Leah also needed to take homeopathic remedies
as well, some before and after exercise, which Helen provided. This
has resulted in Leah having a better quality of life for the last year.
She trains in Obedience, runs with our other dogs which we do limit. At
home she is a normal mischievous 2 year old. I am no longer worried that
every time she has a run with other dogs she is going to collapse. At
New Year she even went swimming in the surf and showed no signs of
distress. Leah’s condition has improved so much I no longer feel
she requires to be given any testing or treatment by the vet. Thank
you Helen for your great work. By working with Leah you have given her a
greater chance to live a long and happy life with us. We know if we are
sensible and diligent with her supplements, homeopathic drops and
monitor her exercise she will have the great quality of life that she
deserves. Dot

Helen
has helped 3 of my horses & 1 of my dogs using Bowen Therapy &
Homeopathic Remedies. Helen
used Bowen & Homeopathic remedies on him and he is doing great now
walking nicely once again. Chloe had a pinched nerve down the back
of her leg & always seemed to collapse. She also had Bowen Therapy
and after a couple of
treatments she improved and
is also doing well now. Josh had a few problems both
with his stifle and a recurring
sore back. Helen worked on
Josh 3 or 4 times and Josh has not had a problem since. We also looked
at a proper saddle to enable me to ride him once again as he had
improved so much. Keep up the good work Helen thanks for everything you
have done. You have been my life saver for my animals. I was at the end
of my rope and didn't know
what to do… then I found Helen thank you so much for all your help.

Lilli is an 8 year old Blue Cattle Cross. We got her as a pup from a local pound when she was about 8 weeks old. We socialized her very early and she was a happy, highly energetic, healthy pup. We also got her used to outdoor camping from a very early age on, she was a social butterfly to people and dogs. When she turned 3 years old, we noticed an increase in fear development towards rumbling noises and thunderstorms. She also started having epileptic seizures every second month. Over the years, her fears to all sorts of noises increased, she would not even leave the house on cloudy days. We have tried a lot of things to ease her fears, some helped a bit, some didn't. We kind of went along with this situation as we did not know what to do. Last year we decided to go on a camping trip to Tasmania. Our biggest concern was the boat trip, where pets and people are separated for 12 hours minimum. This is when I contacted Helen. I deeply regret that I hadn't contacted her earlier on when these problems started. Helen has changed our life's forever. Not only has Helen addressed Lillis fear issue, she has also looked into her problems with the epileptic seizures. Helen has worked with us together so wonderfully. Now Lilli happily goes for walks on cloudy days and hasn't had an epileptic seizure for 5 months. Lilli is the very happy dog she used to be and even our Vet noticed how healthy and happy she is. We can highly, highly recommend Helen.

Before
I started Primrose on the
essence
remedies suggested by Helen , she was a very insecure dog.
Primrose competes in obedience and her heeling was not good and
she appeared worried in the ring ,now since February
2011, after 6 months
of using the remedies regularly
at first but now more intermittment, she has gained her CCD and CD
titles with 1 first and 2 2nd places and one score of 95. Her GWT
has improved also with only one more pass to put her in open. From
a dog that struggled with simple CCD stays she is now getting the hang
of out of sight stays and getting less worried all the time. So
we are now in open with the big guys and hopefully that title won't be
too far away.

Ned as we call him was an ex race horse that did not have the speed at the track. When we got him, he was quite edgy and very sore through the back and hindquarters in particular. He had passed through a number of people before he arrived with us, so we were never really sure what he may have experienced or what problems he really had. We asked Helen to assess him and see if there was a chance to improve his behaviour and health. Helen recommended essences to help with his adjustment to the change in his role and circumstances. She also identified key pain points and stress patterns in his body using Bowen and Kinesiology and after 3-4 treatments, Ned certainly improved. Helen also suggested some Arnica, a homoeopathic remedy to help with recovery from muscle soreness and pain. She also showed us some stretching and acupressure techniques to help with overall flexibility and wellbeing. With the reduction in soreness and the use of the essences, Ned’s anxiety reduced and he was much more trusting in our day to day handling of him. Today
some months on, Ned is a different horse; he looks well, is more
engaging and has a new interest in life! We have a new found
appreciation for the use of natural and holistic therapies Thank you

Buffy was 15 weeks old when she first came home and was the second female King Charles Spaniel in the house. Buffy was very quiet as a puppy and would only interact with me, she would not play with the other dog or my husband and daughter. She would sit in the corner of a room most of the time and would nod her head back and forth. We could not teach her to do anything at all, she wouldn’t even go for a walk on a lead and was too frightened to interact with people and dogs generally. After
spending several hundreds of dollars with vets and numerous trainers,
Buffy was still no better. Our vet recommended us to another vet who
specialised in behavioural disorders. He diagnosed her with genetic
anxiety and prescribed Prozac and Inderal for her. He also advised that
if this did not work she would have to be put down. The medications
helped slightly, but I felt it was not good for her long term and it was
a constant worry. I
was reading my obedience newsletter and saw Helen’s add which gave me
hope. I rang Helen and from the empathy she showed to our situation and
her enthusiasm to help, I decided to make an appointment for her to see
Buffy. When Helen came to see Buffy I knew that I had made the right
decision, Helen genuinely wanted to help.
After a number of Bowen Therapy treatments, and with the use of
Kinesiology and specifically tailored essences, Buffy showed significant
improvement. Today Buffy is drug free, walks on lead, interacts with the
family and other dogs and copes very well with normal life. On top of
this we now have three King Charles Spaniels and Buffy has fully
accepted and adjusted to the new pup. Helen, thank you for your
commitment to giving Buffy a better life without you she would still
only be living half a life! Carolyn Rodriguez, Greystanes NSW

Romy has been treated and managed by Helen for about a year now with Bowen Therapy. He previously suffered severe back and neck soreness even though the saddle had been fitted and he had regular chiropractic sessions. Bowen Therapy has meant that we have been able to continue to enjoy riding him , knowing that he is pain free thus allowing my 13yr old daughter to learn and compete at a high level in dressage. Before we started the Bowen Therapy we were about to retire him as we just could not get him right no matter what we tried. Helen’s intuitiveness with Romy allows her to understand what it is he requires in a treatment. Recently he has been on flower essence remedies to help with his anxious nature and within a couple of days my daughters and I had noticed a calmer sweeter horse. We also have 4 other horses that we compete with in dressage and through the use of Bowen Therapy and Homeopathy and even Kinesiology , we have been able to see sustained improvements in our horses health and performance. Thank
you so much Helen.

Helen was sensitive, caring and empathetic
while she assessed Tommy. She proposed a program of massage and
acupressure to help with Tommy’s focus. The program is simple - and
very relaxing and pleasurable for both of us! Since Helen’s recent visit, Tommy has
competed in two competitions and has not put a paw wrong! He is relaxed
and much more focused in the ring and has just achieved his
“Australian Flyball Dog Champion” title!. Thank you Helen.

Helen
performed 4 sessions of distance Reiki for Ducky, which I feel kept her
calmer and also gave us some clues as to where the bleeding might be
coming from. Helen was also able to give me insight into how Ducky was
feeling, and she even managed to describe Ducky’s personality even
though all treatments were done by distance! Kim Gatenby , Dural NSW

Molly
was running around the paddock one day with my other 2 horses and had an
accident where she damaged the muscles that hold the shoulder to
the body as well as the nerve to that area. When it first happened Molly
could not walk on all four legs she was hopping and dragging the front
leg. It looked at first as if she had popped her shoulder out as the
swelling had hidden the collapsed muscle. I originally arranged
for a chiropractor to see Molly. The chiropractor said that her shoulder
was a little out, but the muscle tear and nerve paralysis was the worse
he had ever seen and that I should be kind to her and put her down. At
the time I also had a vet examine Molly and he confirmed that she had
"sweeny shoulder" and also believed it was best to put her
down. He said that whilst she was not in pain she would never walk
properly again let alone trot or canter.
I decided to look into what sweeny shoulder was and get a second
opinion. Sweeney shoulder is
caused through a trauma to the suprascapular nerve that supplies the
major muscles around the shoulder. When this nerve is damaged which was
the case with Molly the muscles around the shoulder started to waste
away, so much so that you could put the whole of your hand behind her
shoulder blade! Her movement was greatly impaired. In
liaising with another vet he indicated the prognosis was varied, but if
Molly was to improve she needed lots of rest and time and this may take
a few years. It
was at this stage I heard about Helen and her work with Bowen Therapy
and decided to try this modality with Molly. Helen worked with Molly
over a period of 10months, treatments were fortnightly in the early
stages but as Molly started to improve the treatments were less
frequent. Molly was starting to do her own rehabilitation, she was
keener to move around and engaging with the other horses, she was also
in less pain. Now 18months
after the initial injury, Molly is walking so much better and she is
even trotting and cantering, which is so pleasing to see. Her condition
has greatly improved, her muscle bulk and strength has improved, her
demeanour and outlook on life and interaction with the other horses back
to normal. She is now only recovering from a contracted heel. The vet
also believes that I may be able to ride Molly within the next 12months;
her improvement has been so amazing. What I have realised is that natural therapies certainly have something to offer our beloved horses. I am so glad that I found Helen and tried Bowen Therapy and that Molly is an active part of my life once again.

On
The only way Riley could walk was to put a towel under him and lift his back legs off the ground to allow him to move around on his front legs. He would not eat and was depressed. I could not afford the surgery therefore the only option was to proceed with complete rest and cortisone treatment. After a week, Riley was no better. My vet suggested continued care at home but believed his prognosis was not good. Riley cold not use his back legs to walk and was also incontinent. I was desperate to help my dog and my cousin told me to try Bowen Therapy and after some phone calls came across Helen. Helen first saw Riley on the 17th December, one week after his injury and his first day at home from the vets. Helen recommended a course of three homeopathic remedies and Schleussler biochemic mineral tissues salts that I needed to give to Riley regularly. By the third day ( 20th Dec) , I could not believe it as that morning , Riley was standing on all 4 legs, wobbly, but standing! ..my early Christmas present. From then on, I knew that things would improve. Helen visited us weekly, over a period of a month and Riley received Bowen Therapy along with homeopathic, mineral tissue salts and essence remedies remedies and some stretching and strengthening exercises. Riley
kept improving , even my vet could not believe the rate of recovery. The
Bowen treatments were further apart and by the 8th week post
injury, Riley was moving around much better and was starting to trot and
run around the backyard. His incontinence had improved greatly, his mood
and expression much better and now some months on , he is very much back
to his normal self with no incontinence , except he has not got full
function of his tail when wagging as he used to. But for a dog whose
life looked like ending, where he is now is simply amazing. I thank
Helen for giving Riley the opportunity to walk again and would recommend
homeopathy and Bowen Therapy .

We have been breeding and showing the beautiful and rare Korats cats under the Doklao prefix since 1994. Our Korat household comprises of three breeding queens (Lilyput, BB and Tia) a stud male (Yindee) a retired spay (Bella) and a vesectomised British Blue boy Micky. We sought Helen’s help in particular to improve show behaviour, the management of reproductive problems and in maintaining a more harmonious multi cat household. BB is outgoing and playful but in a cat show situation she tends to be very shy and timid. In a show situation Lilyput would hide and grumble and would refuse to show herself when placed on the judging table where as Tia would lap up all the accolades and attention but would quickly get bored and become fidgety and more vocal. Helen used Bowen, Kinesiology and specific individual essences that she made up for each of the girls. We noticed that there was a marked improvement in their show behaviour and we had some excellent successes in the show ring including a Best in Show for Lilyput at the “No Frills Show” in September 2008. We also approached Helen to seek advice on supporting remedies to treat Lilyput’s pyometra and BB’s aversion to mating. BB is now a confident mother of five healthy kittens born November 2008 and is happily sharing the mothering role with Tia. Lilyput has made a good recovery from the pyometra and we are hopeful that she will also soon also be a mother again.

Helen
has worked on a number of my horses and I think the work she does is
amazing. I
live in the My
younger horse Finnegan has been traumatised by an incident in the forest
which affected him physically, emotionally and mentally.
Helen did lots of kinesiology work on him and recommended
homeopathic and flower remedies. His
knee returned to its normal size and he gradually let go of many of his
new found fears. Helen’s
work also balanced him physically and I was amazed at how much she
picked up that was going on for him physically.
A stifle problem has considerably improved. It’s amazing but it works! Anne

Helen
came to see Cindy in our home. She assessed her gait, muscle tone and
movement. She also asked me about her lifestyle and her role in the
family. Helen discussed Cindy’s diet and the significance of Cindy’s
routines in terms of general wellbeing and coping with the ageing
process. Following on from the initial assessment and discussion about
Cindy, Helen then used both Bowen Therapy and Kinesiology to help with
the physical and emotional problems. Within 24-48hrs after the
treatment, Cindy was brighter and more willing to engage with the family
and Casey, our other miniature schnauzer. She was also able to go
for a brisk walk which she really enjoyed. It is now three months since
Helen treated Cindy and she has maintained the improvement and is no
longer on anti-inflammatories. Friends of the family have been amazed at
Cindy’s improvement. Helens
depth of knowledge, her ability to relate to animals and understand them
and to pinpoint the key problems and issues that need to be addressed
has been invaluable. I would highly recommend Helen and her services to
anyone whose pet is a priority in their lives.

Thanks so much for the Bowen and Kinesiology Balance you gave Jake, my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, he is much more agile and active and flowing with his movements , even after one treatment . This is especially noticeable when I take him to the park, he just runs for his life. I have changed his diet as you suggested and he is much healthier and starting to loose weight. The essences have also helped greatly. Thanks for giving my doggie a new lease of life, he is much more agile, and is a lot happier in himself. Isabelle Clarke, Ermington, NSW

Helen
has helped me with all 3 dogs for the past 12 months. Fly
is 10 and has always had issues with noises/thunderstorms and travelling
in the car. After
one treatment of homeopathic medication, Fly was not as sensitive to
storms and is not getting as worried when travelling either. Sprite
is 6 and has jealousy issues with one of my other dogs, and with
Helen’s help this has lessoned and Sprite is more relaxed and a
happier and more loving dog.
Jaidee
is 2 and is not a confident fella, he has had a lot trouble with our
tiled flooring at home and also eating. Again
with Helens help, Jaidee is much more confident getting around our house
and he is eating all his food. Jaidee has been able to maintain this
confidence after the 2 initial treatments for some months now. This new
confidence is also reflected in his approach to everyday life, including
agility and herding.
My
dogs also get regular Bowen therapy from Helen to help maintain their
very active life styles. It is always a pleasure to have Helen treat my
dogs in such a professional and caring way, and the dogs always greet
her with enthusiasm. Leanne

I have two rescue dogs, Maddie and Rupert, both cross Maltese Terriers. Each came to me with their own special needs!!!
Helen has helped both of them.
Maddie
- was about 3 when she
came to me and she had just had one of her back legs amputated.
It was clear from the outset that she had been badly abused
because she was frightened of my feet, my hands, loud noises and lots of
other day to day things. Over
four years, she had improved dramatically but has always licked a bit
obsessively. About six months ago, I had a major career and lifestyle
change. Not long after, I
noticed that Maddie was almost constantly licking anything that was in
reach of her tongue. I contacted Helen who, with the help of
Kinesiology, prepared a flower essence remedy.
Some of the essences within the remedy were for issues that had
not occurred to me to mention to Helen.
After two bottles of the remedy, Maddie has improved
significantly. She is now
better than she has ever been since living with me. Rupert - was about 4 when he joined my household. On his first visit to the vet, she warned me I would have problems with him because he loves dancing on his back legs. Within a year, she was treating him for back pain. It got so bad, he had to be hospitalised for a few days which upset him (and my bank balance). After he was released from hospital, I was given analgesics to treat his pain but they made him sick and the nausea made his back problem worse. He was soon in a cycle of almost constant pain. I was told I would have to gaol him in a small dog cage for a week at a time but this seemed an awful punishment for a dog who loves to dance, run and play as much as possible. Helen treated Rupert with Bowen Therapy with significant improvement. Since then, he has only had one minor flare up ..... What can he expect when he eats something found deep in the undergrowth of the local park!!

My 10yr old Golden Retriever, Topaz after two broken toe injuries suffers from arthritis in her feet complicated by a bone spur on one toe. She started to limp now and again and this would get worse under different situations.
For pain management and to assist with her overall mobility, I opted for alternative therapy rather than continual use of anti-inflammatory medication. Helen assessed and treated Topaz with Bowen.
Before long
there was a notable improvement, once again Topaz was eager to go for
her daily walks. Today we continue with a maintenance program of Bowen Therapy
and this continues to sustain improvements that have been gained with
her mobility.

Helen worked over Jaspers body with small movements. Improvement was evident after the first treatment with more willingness to take weight on his left leg. After the third treatment, Jasper was moving freely. Not only was he weight bearing on all four legs but his overall movement and muscle tone seemed improved. Jasper
has returned to being an active member of the family. Lydia Roberts, Penrith NSW

I
needed 2 dogs to travel by aeroplane, both were competing in Agility
trials – Cricket is very
noise phobic and Jak gets anxious when left by me and is also storm
phobic. People suggested all sorts of drugs but I wanted something more
natural, particularly as they were competing within 24 hrs of the
flight. This was a good testing time as it was during the storms of
early 2008. I approached Helen for her help.
She met my dogs and suggested the use of essences, homeopathics
and use of acupressure. Cricket upon taking the essences showed an
improvement with noises and with the repeated use displayed not much
reaction to storms. Jak showed instant response and whilst he
acknowledged the storm, he was not distressed. I was ecstatic. Helen
showed me some acupressure points that I used on both dogs and continue
to use. My dogs and I travelled happily to

Jasper is an 18month old cross poodle. When
I first saw Helen he was 12 months old and had chronic skin problems
with red blotches and blisters along his tummy and legs. This starting
occurring when he was an 8 week old puppy and whilst
cortisone and antibiotics would help for a while, the itching and skin
rashes always came back and worse each time. I had blood tests to try
and find out what the problem was, but the vet could not provide any
clear answers and other than histamine injections and cortisone to help
manage the condition there were no other options. I was not happy with
long term cortisone use so looked for natural therapy approaches to help
my puppy.

2 years of consistent work resulted in him completing stand for examinations as long as the person approached him without any hesitation.
That
is anyone except his regular vet. He eventually attained his CCD
obedience title in December last year. The week after he came down with
gastro. After
being treated by the vet we were back to square one. This time he was a
lot wiser to all of our past methods. He only trusted my immediate
family and he would not let anyone else near him, even with their hands
concealed. Food was not an option as this was what the vet tried to
use. He would lean on me every time he saw someone approaching. If they
tried to pat him, he would leap away from them. I was ready to give up
when someone suggested animal equilibrium.
Helen
treated him at my house and was very patient with him on her first
visit. She treated him with energy coils, bowen therapy and kinesiology.
She left me with some essences and massage techniques to use on him.
There was improvement but not enough for him to allow a stand for
examination. Helen
then tried homeopathics and a different essence and I continued with the
home massage program. This was the turning point. He actually started
wagging his tailing as people approached and instead of jumping away, he
started jumping at the people wanting to play. With a little more
training he started to stay still for stand for examinations.
He
is still wary of people approaching slowly with their hands out but he
is a lot easier to win over. Now all I have to do is stop him running
out of the ring to get his dumbell back after the stewards take it from
me and playing with the judge during the heeling pattern. He is
certainly a much happier dog. Everyone is commenting as well on how well
he looks and he is finally starting to fill out. His coat is also
better. Kaye
